A graduate of Robert Fripp’s Guitar Craft courses and a lecturer in music at Tartu University’s Viljandi Cultural Academy, Robert Jürjendal is a guitarist and composer living and working in Estonia, where he plays with musicians from the Classical, Rock, Electronic, and Experimental fields.
Robert formed the Weekend Guitar Trio in 1993. The WGT, who won first prize at the Lausanne International Guitar festival in 1995, has released six albums and has toured regularly throughout the world.
Robert has also collaborated with Vox Clamantis (a Gregorian chant meets contemporary/ambient guitar project ), Tõnis Mägi, Kärt Johanson, Andi Pupato, David Rothenberg, Markus Reuter, Toyah Willcox, Riho Sibul, Chris Wong, Big Clouds and the duo Fragile (with noted Estonian musician, Arvo Urb).
